This book presents nine articles that analyze various aspects of the social and cultural development of post-Communist Lithuania.
The book addresses the national identity, culture and globalization of the Lithuanians and the search for a Lithuanian identity between Eastern and Western Worlds. It addresses Lithuania's post-Communist society in regards to Religion, morality, generalized trust, work ethics and the role of intellectuals. It also takes a look at Lithuania's art, theater, independent institutions and artist.
