The life of the jungle tribes from Sarawak, Borneo when they were living in longhouses with not much contact to the outer world living a natural life living from what the jungle gave them. Today much of this jungle has been cut and converted into Oil Palm plantations. When this book was written the jungle was alive and nobody was thinking that it will be cut one day. Without cloth, in the jungle near the river all the life happend in concordance with nature. Here you can find daily live how it happened in the longhouses just 40 years behind. Life was very different for those people. Life and culture was very similar then in the Amazon jungle and habits as well. I received this book from a native Dayak Girl in 1975 who wanted to explain me how life in Longhouses is going on and how the different tribes are living in the jungle and what they are doing.
