Emma and Clare were childhood friends. Now, they obsessively replay the events and incidents of their youth: the tree house they sheltered in, the two elderly sisters they ran errands for, the cornershop man they stole from, the film they went back to time and time again. But Clare becomes obsessed with a new arrival on the street - an attractive young woman with a baby, but apparently no man. Then, when the man turns up, Clare becomes dangerously jealous and wreaks a dreadful revenge on the innocent couple...Premiered in Belfast and on tour in Northern Ireland by Tinderbox Theatre, "Girls and Dolls" marks a further step in the career of yet another promising young Irish playwright.
