Martynas Mažvydas and Old Lithuania

The publication is dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the first Lithuanian book. The papers, written by scholars of old Lithuanian written language, dwell on the sources of Lithuanian written literature, on the epoch of Martynas Mažvydas and the background of the appearance of the first Lithuanian book, analyze different aspecks of Mažvydas' many-sided creative work, and discuss its historical, literary, musical and cultural context.
