Come into My Time: Lithuania in Prose Fiction, 1970-90

The only anthology of fiction from Lithuania to appear in the West, these stories predate the disintegration of the Soviet Socialist Republics in the early 1990s. However, the themes of resistance and survival under a totalitarian regime - prior to Gorbachev and glasnost - reveal the underpinnings of the Lithuanians' struggle to retain their identity and language.
