If kids like the Secret Seven, they will like these additional stories:
- Good Work, Secret Seven (96 pages)
- Secret Seven Win Through (94 pages)
- Puzzle for the Secret Seven (96 pages)
- Secret Seven Fireworks (96 pages)
- Good Old Secret Seven (94 pages)
Each story is divided into chapters. These stories were written between 1955 and 1960 and are based in England at that time. The group of friends (the Secret Seven) have adventures and solve mysteries together ( I think the kids are around 10 years old). Great for readers on car trips...a volume like this can keep them busy for several hours. These stories are different to the techno-kids' stories they have today...it's set in the late fifties, but kids then also had a lot more freedom than they do now, so I think that draws kids in: seeing realistic kids being able to just take their bikes and explore abandoned ruin alone without adults constantly keeping them in line. They have to figure out how to do it themselves. And this is mesmerizing to kids who so often nowadays are never released into the wilds of anything alone.
